Salary: Starting rate of £11.30 per hour
Reporting to: Branch Manager
Location: London & South East

This Company is one of the UK’s largest privately-owned industrial engineering companies and supports three subsidiary businesses. They provide engineering services to industry covering Machinery Installation and Relocation, Mechanical Engineering, Technical and Heavy Lifting and Wind Turbine Generator Construction on a National & International scale.

They are looking for reliable, hardworking team players to train to become Rigger/Machine Movers to undertake site-based works alongside their teams of experienced trades people on jobs throughout the South East.

The work involved is typically involves the movement of heavy plant & Machinery using a wide range of specialised tools including cranes, forklift trucks and jacking equipment. The sites are typically construction sites, commercial buildings, factories or any other location containing heavy equipment.

They UK’s largest and best-known machinery movement business and the London branch is part of a national network that includes locations in Wigan, Glasgow, Birmingham, Rotherham & Bristol.

Group wide you would be joining a professional company currently employing over 200 full time skilled staff throughout the UK & Europe.

Main Duties:
- Working to pre-prepared instructions
- Adhering to relevant health & safety rules & requirements
- Correct use of tools & lifting/handling equipment
- Assembly & disassembly of machinery, plant & equipment
- Jacking, skating, hoisting, skidding various loads
- Working within set time budgets
- Complete relevant company paperwork relating to safety & assets
- Ensuring the correct presentation of yourself & your equipment

This list is not exhaustive, and you will be required to undertake other duties as directed by your manager.

Although not essential, it would be useful if you had some form of previous construction or engineering site experience.

You must be available to travel throughout London and the South East and must be able to get yourself to site whether by your own vehicle or public transport.

Other key skills preferred:
- A strong safety ethos
- 1 year plus practical site experience (preferred not essential)
- Good teamwork skills
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude
