This company are a dynamic, fast-paced subsidiary of a FTSE listed group operating in the recycling industry across many UK sites and currently employing over 500 people in the UK.
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Traffic Controller, to join their Trade Waste team, based at Linwood.
Duties will include:
- Responsible for planning and co-ordination of the trade waste operation.
- Handle customer bookings and ensure jobs are accurately input into the system
- Liaison with other depots/departments within the Group to ensure that requirements are met
- Responsible for the allocation of jobs to vehicles ensuring that customer service levels are maintained whist ensuring routes are efficient.
- Document management (control of waste transfer notes, work sheets and weighbridge paperwork)
- Ensure vehicles are appropriately staffed on a day to day basis, arranging holiday cover when necessary
- Working with trade drivers regarding improving route management and material compliance
- Working with drivers to ensure through our FTA Management system compliance is maintained
- Managing debrief of drivers upon completion of routes
- Confirming trade routes upon job completion
- Any other ad hoc duties

Competencies:
- Background knowledge of Transport/Logistics
- Good knowledge of driver working time directive
- Basic Geographical knowledge of Western Central Belt
- Knowledge of MS Office essential

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS;
- CLASS 2 LICENCE
- NATIONAL/INTERNATIONAL CPC OPERATORS LICENCE
