The role can be based from Hatfield or Cambridge.

We are one of the leading business support providers in the UK. Our principal business is the management and delivery of large scale contracts promoting enterprise, supporting SMEs and the development of business support infrastructure. Since the year 2000, we have directly supported over 500,000 UK SMEs through the delivery of business information, advice and consultancy; including support for product innovation and exports. As a result, we also play a leading role in the transfer of UK SME support know-how to governments across Europe and in developing countries.

We are looking to recruit an individual who has experience and ability of providing business support to SMEs for business growth through internationalisation. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in the following areas: international markets, establishing sales channels through international partnering, access to finance (including knowledge of EU and UK funding and support for innovation), the provision of information in response to questions on doing business in European countries, the organisation and delivery of partnering events or missions.

As one of our Trade & Information Advisers you will account manage and support a portfolio of SMEs including:

- Reviewing and diagnosing client needs, with a focus on internationalisation.
- Producing action plans and working with clients towards their implementation, providing tailored support through the EEN team to address needs and/or refer to other support organisations as appropriate.
- Answering enquiries and providing business information relating to EU legislation, regulations, market information, etc.
- Supporting SMEs to engage with EEN partnering services including the publication of business cooperation profiles and participation in brokerage events and missions.
- Working as part of the wider EEN team to both lead and support in the delivery of regional events, inward and outward company missions and brokerage events.

You will join an established team of International Trade & Information Advisers, delivering EEN services to SMEs across the East of England region.
