The Position:

They now have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Tour Logistics Assistant to join their team on full time basis . The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in an award winning and highly customer centric business in the heart of York’s city centre. Reporting to the Tour Logistics Manager, some of the activities that you will be responsible for include:

- Working with suppliers to ensure the requirements of the Company are met in the most cost effective manner.
- Planning and scheduling ground arrangements for customer’s holidays and providing reliable, timely and accurate information to the business.
- Communicate correct information on ground arrangements i.e. hotels, coaches, restaurants etc. to the sales and operations teams.
- Undertake general administrative duties to support the administrative process of holiday enquiries/bookings/confirmations and delivery of tickets/reservations.
- Assist with the preparation and despatch of tour manager documentation ensuring all information and documentation is correct.
- Assist all teams in the business with questions and queries in relation to contracted hotels, coaches, restaurants etc.
- Communicate any ground supplier amendments or problems to the operations and sales teams where relevant.
- Liaise with the variations team in relation to variation bookings at the request of the customer ensuring all variations are communicated to the relevant work colleagues.
- Work with the variations team to ensure a quick and accurate turnaround of customer variation requests so that sales opportunities are maximised.

The successful Tour Logistics Assistant should possess the following skills and experience:

- Proven experience of working in a customer service environment and delivering to deadlines and targets.
- Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience of working in a busy telephone environment.
- Strong interest in travel with good geographical knowledge
- Capable of following written and verbal instructions and possess a clear and concise approach in verbal and written communication
- Excellent written English and numeracy skills
- Good general education and knowledge of Microsoft software packages
- Possess a methodical and organised approach to work, both individually and as part of a team
