This leading European supplier of technical textile threads to the Automotive Supply Chain, is now looking for a Textile Machine Operatives to work on Pitman Night Shifts (Pitman Shift - 2 days working, 2 days off, 3 days working, 3 days off...repeat).

The job will entail production of goods of the required high quality, standard and value for use in the technical and automotive markets by use of textile processing machinery.

Main responsibilities:

- Safely and effectively set up and operate textile processing machinery to the most current guidelines as detailed in the relevant work instruction.
- Produce orders within specifications and to set schedules whilst ensuring that product is properly and suitably identified at all times.
- To carry out routine machine checks and examine products for defects. To report such issues to the relevant Supervisor, Manager or Engineer without delay.
- To ensure product is properly and suitably identified at all times.
- To refer to Work Instructions for full operating details of textile machinery.
- To load and unload goods for processing by hand using trucks, trolleys and tubs where required.
- To clean the machines in accordance with the relevant cleaning schedule and to maintain the general work area in a clean and organised condition.
- To carry out simple maintenance operations.
- To accurately use relevant forms to record process and quality details.
- To co-operate with managers and supervisors in carrying out other tasks as required to fulfil business needs.
- To operate textile machines in other departments ( after proper training) to provide cover or to react to the production needs of the Company.
- To wear Personal Protective Equipment as required and adhere to all safety rules.
- To actively participate in waste reduction and energy saving initiatives

What we are loooking for:

- Diligent timekeeping to maintain continuous process operation.

In return you will be paid £8.62 per hour (once fully trained) and a shift allowance of 35%, 33 days Holiday per year (pro rata), Pension scheme,
