Test & Inspection (Electrical/Mechanical) Engineer based Woking, Surrey.

This leading player in the Industrial Electronics and Communications industry is looking to recruit a Test and Inspection Engineer.

Working within the Production Team, you will ensure that verification and inspection activities are performed in accordance with Quality Plans, procedures, standards and specifications.

Role

Focus on initiating, promoting and maintaining the highest quality standards within manufacturing industry.

The position ensures that verification and inspection activities are performed in compliance with quality plans, procedures, standards and specifications in accordance with the company policies and procedures.

- Preparing inspection reports to indicate product test/inspection status, nature of non-compliance, rectification or replacement and to specify safe limits of acceptance when necessary.
- Responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of non-conformance reports & associated documentation then processed in accordance with company policies, procedures.
- Ensures inspection & verification is executed so that daily/weekly/monthly production plans are uninterrupted and maintained to the highest quality standard, determines ways for increasing output, cost-cutting and cost containment.
- Co-ordinating with other internal sections on various inspection and testing administrative functions in a timely manner. It is important that this position understands the industries to which it operates, including legislative regulations.
Identify where training of staff is required when necessary.
- Stay abreast of new inspection & test processes, technologies, methods and statutory requirements and communicate with management on any significant factors that could affect delivery, quality or have financial impact to the company.
- Assisting in the preparation and ensuring all necessary documentation is present for customer visits/audits when necessary.
Line Inspection
- Inspection of sub-assemblies; cabinet systems; inspection records to be maintained where necessary.
Final Inspection
- Cable assemblies; assemblies; cabinet systems; inspection records to be maintained where necessary.
Test- Electronic/Electrical
- Cable assemblies; cabinet systems; sub-assemblies; inspection/test records to be maintained where necessary.
