The Position:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for highly motivated and customer focused Temporary Operations Support staff to join the UK's market leading tour operator of escorted holidays by rail. The successful candidates will earn £7.50 per hour working a 37.5 hour week on a temporary contract from 27th March to 2nd July 2017 and/or from 7th August to 22nd September 2017. This is an opportunity to work in a growing and highly customer centric business in the heart of York’s city centre, during our busiest period. Days of work are expected to be from Monday to Friday, however in very busy periods there may be a requirement for some weekend working.

Some of the Operational Support activities include:

- Collating, packing and distributing passenger documentation and rail tickets.
- Undertake general administrative duties to support various teams.
- Providing reliable, timely and accurate information to suppliers and/or customers.

The successful candidates should possess the following skills and experience:

- Proven office based experience, working in a customer focused environment with a strong emphasis on customer service.
- Good customer service abilities and proven administrative skills.
- Capable of following written and verbal instructions and possess a clear and concise approach in verbal and written communication.
- Able to work under high pressure to meet strict deadlines whilst exhibiting excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent written English and numeracy skills.
- Good general education.
- Possess a methodical and organised approach to work, both individually and as part of a team.
