A telesales operative at this company will be expected to be the first point of call for a customer wanting to place an order. It is expected that the chosen candidate will hold a professional telephone manner, taking orders and confidently up selling the products provided by the company. The Job role is for five days a week and you will be expected to be flexible so that to meet the needs of the company.
Main responsibilities of the role:
- Answering all in coming phone calls into the company promptly.
- Ensuring all messages are taken and cleared from the answer phone
- Proactively calling customers to take orders
- Processing orders
- Up selling and informing customers of new promotions and items.
- Liaise with all sales representative regarding customer pricing and orders
- Inputting Customers prices
- Keeping records of all incoming calls and responses received.
- Working with distribution to ensure customers deliveries are made on time
- Working closely with distribution regarding stocks shortages.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with distribution staff
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with supplier and customers.
- Resolving customer queries in a timely fashion.
- Completing all administrative tasks given by sales representative or managers.
- Being a team player and becoming an asset to the team.
- Dealing with customers face to face.

Person specification:
- Experience of working in a sales environment would be preferably but not essential
- Ability to sell
- Experience within telesales
- Exceptional computer skills, with the ability to learn new software packages.
- Excellent verbal and communications skills
- Ability to plan work loads to meet demands of the business internally and externally.
- Flexible and adaptable character.
- Most importantly the ability to maintain a professional and friendly manner when dealing with staff and customers.
- Ability to learn the products sold by the company
