Our client is a well-established manufacturer and supplier of a comprehensive range of packaging consumables and machinery based in Worsley, Manchester.

Position overview

Contact existing customers/prospects by telephone to:
- Promote the company’s services and products
- Sell more products into existing accounts
- Upsell on customer orders
- Follow up and qualify leads from the CRM system
- Explain the products and services offered delivering a scripted sales pitch
- Gather information and verify details
- Answer product related customer questions
- Where appropriate book customer visits and trial dates
- Identify customers who have potential for future development
- Promote the companies “Friday Moment of Madness” emails to contacts
- Support sales staff by following up leads, producing quotes and assisting the sales team.

Qualifications and Experience
- 5 GCSE’S (including English and Mathematics)
- Previous successful track record in Telesales or Business Development by telephone


Skills
- Excellent communication skills, and strong computer literacy.
- Ability to review and improve current processes
- Able to advise and plan work for other team members
- Excellent Excel skills
- Strong customer focus with a high standard of service.
- A high degree of numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage conflicting demands.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Tele-Sales to increase spend of existing accounts to agreed sales level and GP
- Follow up prospects from CRM database as well as new leads from on-going marketing activity
- Backing up the sales team by producing quotes, pre-visit reports, updating software with appointments
- Ascertain potential and discuss further actions required to win
- Prepare, Attend, contribute and follow up on actions at weekly and monthly sales meetings
- Prepare, Attend, contribute and follow up on actions at monthly appraisal meetings

Key Performance Indicators
- Number of existing customers contacted
- Value of increased customer spend by account
- Number of open prospect related activities on CRM

- Hours are 0830-1630 hrs with 30 minute lunch break

- Salary £19,000-£21,000 depending upon experience
