They have a vacancy for a Technician – Glove Testing to work in their Safety Product Testing Department.

The role will involve working as part of a small team undertaking physical testing of PPE in particular of protective gloves. Your duties will include carrying out routine physical testing in accordance with International and European standards in a fast-turnaround environment. The role requires the operation of test equipment to generate results which are recorded on paperwork and on electronic results sheets in preparation for transfer to test reports. You will also be required to prepare test samples prior to testing, maintain tidiness of laboratory and to maintain sample storages. You may also be required to assist Technologists when dealing with customers during visits and seminars.

The successful candidate must be able to accurately follow testing procedures and methods to be able to process testing work and record accurate results. The individual will need to demonstrate excellent organisational, time management skills and to possess a flexible approach to working being able to respond to changing deadlines and priorities. They will need to have a keen eye for detail and be methodical when making electronic entries onto systems and when completing paperwork. The role will require someone who is equally able and comfortable to work on their own and as part of a team.

Candidates should be familiar with MS Outlook and Excel and have experience of scheduling and organizing workloads.

Experience of Goldmine system would be advantageous.

Flexibility, tenacity and a ‘can-do attitude’ are key requisites of the role. Candidates should be able and willing to work their contracted hours between the hours of 7am and 7pm if required.
