Technical Support Manager

Milton Keynes

As the highly successful UK subsidiary of a global company that manufactures and distributes functional components for furniture, this company is looking to recruit an experienced Technical Support Manager to lead the technical team at their headquarters in Milton Keynes.

Established for over 60 years, they are a friendly, dynamic, family-run company with an orientation towards long term success – both in terms of the business and their staff. The group fosters a culture of personal responsibility, openness, inclusion and on-going development.

Their largest market is within the kitchen industry, where they are undisputed brand leaders, however they also supply the bathroom, bedroom and home office sectors.

The Technical Support Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth efficient running of the technical support service, training delivery, maintenance support and will report directly to the Managing Director.

Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and manage the technical support service.
- Develop and manage the technical training provision.
- Managing the technical team for effective performance.
- Actively manage performance and attendance
- Develop team members via regular 1-2-1’s and annual Review & Development meetings.
- Implementing training and development plans when required.
- Member of the Management Team
- Occasional UK and overseas travel will be required.

You will ideally live within Milton Keynes and be able to demonstrate your experience in management leadership as well as having skills in communication, training delivery/management, delivering a service, creativity and presentations.

They offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience and a company pension scheme and private medical insurance. You start with 20 days holiday per annum and the opportunity to finish at 1.30 pm every second Friday.
