Technical Sales Professional

(with the capability to progress to the Senior Management team)

c£50-60K basic plus car, bonuses and benefits

Salary package will be commensurate with experience and will not be a limiting factor

The company is a leading supplier of speciality chemicals used in the plastics industry in the manufacture of both rigid and flexible PVC products. Part of a highly successful international business, they are looking to recruit an ambitious Technical Sales person to be part pf their exciting growth plans, and who can develop into a more senior role within the next 2-3 years.

This is an exceptional career opportunity for a talented, results oriented Technical Sales professional who can help drive the business to the next level. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be part of a small team responsible for developing profitable sales throughout the UK. This role combines both new business development and account management and your focus will be on increasing both revenue and margin, whilst developing long term, sustainable business relationships using your expert technical knowledge.

Applicants could have a strong sales record in selling either PVC additives / related products or speciality / performance chemicals in a technical, application sales led market.

Alternatively, you could have a very strong technical service / support background with good commercial skills and a real desire to progress your career in a technical selling environment.

In addition, you should have the following characteristics / experience

- Proactive in pursuing new opportunities
- Good understanding of technical applications, hands-on and willing to ‘get your hands dirty’
- Focused on selling ‘value’ and not on price; persuasive
- Key account management skills and great at building relationships at all levels
- Organised, determined, manages time effectively – used to managing a large geographical area
