THE COMPANY
This successful, rapidly growing and award-winning company, designs and supplies industrial incinerators and waste management equipment. The equipment is sold globally to a wide range of customers including governments, international aid organisations and multi-national corporations.

The job holder will be responsible for sales growth, business development and technical support for large projects, including waste to energy power generation projects.

You will consult with clients to establish their needs and provide the technical specialism within the company to develop Their offering to new clients. You will work with the directors to drive new business with global clients. You will pitch the company’s capabilities to new leads, passionately communicating their value proposition using technical language and in-depth sector knowledge.

KEY SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

TECHNOLOGY
- Understand combustion mass balance and heat transfer principles, technology and innnovations
- Able to design systems for clients including full integration with existing technology.
- Produce clear quotation documents.
- Occasionally take a ‘hands-on’ approach offering on-site engineering advice

MARKETING
- Provide the marketing team with technological and industry information to aid the development of an effective marketing strategy which will increase market awareness of the products and identify and attract new business partners and customers.
- Network and follow up with clients to present proposals of systems which match their needs
- Work with the marketing team to produce effective marketing literature and ensure search engine optimisation and updates..

ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT
- Provide on-going technical support as required.
- Manage client expectations and develop a lasting relationship.

GENERAL
- Participate in meetings with external and internal teams.
- Consistently update own technical knowledge.
- Work flexibly and contribute to a "can do" team philosophy

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- The job holder will normally work within the office environment but will visit client sites as required.
- May be required to work away from home in the UK or overseas.

GENERAL BACKGROUND
- Apply practical engineering experience which enables the technological design and specification of incineration and waste to energy power generation systems.
- High standard of business communication skills, both oral and written and highly numerate.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

- Degree or equivalent engineering background
- Experience of combustion heat transfer and emissions analysis essential..
- Experience in a sales or marketing role.
- Familiarity with or have CAD drawing experience
- Project management
- Knowledge of Quality, Environmental systems
- Hold a valid driving licence.

FLEXIBILITY REQUIRED
- Occasionally required to work outside of office hours.
- May be required to stay overnight in hotel accommodation.
