This company is looking for a Technical Project Manager to be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company Process, strategy, commitments and goals.

MAIN DUTIES
1. Manage the execution of NPD Program(s) and project(s) running within the Technical Function
2. Progress the programs/projects through the Phase Gate Process taking responsibility for the deliverables at each stage
3. Manage the scope, project plan, budget and resource through each phase of the program/ project
4. Coordinate and monitor resources across multiple sites to achieve program/project goals and objectives and balance these resources between projects
5. Coordinate the activities of integrated product teams consisting of Product Management, Technical, Operations and Sourcing to achieve defect free launch
6. Maintain accurate project metrics and generate regular project reports to communicate the status of the program/project to all stakeholders
7. Work with other Project Managers within the team to establish and take responsibility for best practice project management methods such as Risk Management, Requirements Management, Change Control and Issue Management
8. Work with Technical Line Managers to ensure the effective use of resource across the Technical Team.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Effective management of the execution of project through the Product Development Lifecycle from Inception to defect free launch

JOBHOLDER REQUIREMENTS
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree required; Engineering degree preferred
- 3-10 years’ experience in Project Management; or a combination of Program Management with some Engineering and/or Product Development Management
- Qualification in project management
- Excellent communication and presentation skills – both verbal and written with ability to make necessary status reports and technical presentations to Vthe company management and internal/external stakeholders
- Proficient in the use of project management tools and techniques
- Proven experience in people management, risk management and change management
- Flexability to travel ocasonally as required

Desirable
- Good technical understanding of Electronic, Mechanical or software design practice
- Qualification in project management (APM, PMI or Prince)
