A live events and bespoke creative technical solutions company based in Loughborough are seeking a technical project manager to join their growing production team.

Role:
This position will encompass all elements of technical pre-production from developing and designing technical solutions in order to achieve our clients’ briefs, through to managing and where appropriate supervising their execution.

The successful candidate will be passionate about driving forward improvements in technical production, ensuring they keep up to date with emerging technologies and work with the team to implement innovative technical solutions.

Responsibilities:

Pre-Production
- Attending client meetings with the Project Managers and liaising with clients on technical aspects of projects
- Assisting Project Managers with pitch documents/quotations
- Attending site visits to assess venue particulars
- Developing technical solutions for corporate events, exhibitions and experiential events
- Pre-Production technical planning including technical specification across all disciplines factoring in H&S regulations and budget/resource constraints
- Creating technical documentation for both internal and external use, including producing floor plans and system diagrams
- Producing timely and accurate prep lists
- Liaising with Design and Build on technical integration with scenic construction
- Researching suppliers and booking sub-hire equipment
- Specifying technical staffing requirements and booking freelancers when required

On-Site Delivery
- Communicating with contractors and internal staff to ensure solutions are fit for purpose and understood by all stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely execution
- Ensuring the successful installation, operation and removal of technical/AV equipment, including managing on site technicians
- Troubleshooting any technical problems which occur on-site and implementing an appropriate solution
- Delivering all elements of smaller events when the Project Manager is not on site

The role will include both UK and international travel and will require the successful candidate to work non-standard working hours including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

The successful candidate will have:

- Excellent knowledge of all technical disciplines including sound, lighting, video, power, rigging, scenery and staging
- Experience of working in corporate, exhibition and/or experiential events
- Good working knowledge of H&S regs
- Competent use of AutoCAD or Vectorworks
- Up to date IT knowledge with a strong understanding of networking, software and hardware set up
- 4 years’ industry experience either as a project manager or senior technician
