Job Description
You will be working for one of the country’s leading providers into the medical device, nutraceutical and pharma industry which include: specialist blending and formulation, packing solutions, contract packaging, printing and manufacturing of products within cleanroom environments.

To support their New Product Development and process improvements team, they are now seeking a technical / process to join their team of highly motivated experts supporting existing and new customers with design / development of new products and processes and supporting the on-site team with continuous improvements to manufacturing and formulation.

Hours of work 08:00 - 16:30 Mon - Thu and 08:00 - 13:30 Fri (37.5hrs)

Location: Lancaster office.

KEY TASKS:
- Reporting to the Technical Manager
- Laboratory testing to include wet chemical and mechanical testing
- Data collection, reporting and data analysis
- Technical report and evaluation, including lab work where required
- Support the NPD team with evaluation and management of tasks associated with development of new products, product lines extensions, formulations, customer enquiries
- Coordination of equipment Validation, process validations, packaging validations
- Process improvements

Essentials
- Ideally applicants with a Chemistry background, knowledge or qualification
- Technical awareness in manufacturing, packaging or a science
- Previous experience with some of the below:
o Medical Devices or cosmetic manufacturing
o QA processes – M Dir / ISO 9001 / ISO 13485
o Testing of medical, pharma, personal care, chemical formulations
o Innovative thinker
- Computer literacy especially MS Office package
- Excellent communication skills
- Full UK driving license

Desired but not essential
- Qualification in Chemistry or related discipline or strong science / engineering bias
- Continuous improvement methodology
- Experienced in project management
