A skilled and highly motivated individual is required to join a Leeds based hosting and solutions provider. You will be responsible for assisting in the expansion of the company’s public cloud platforms, managing network and server infrastructure, architecting and building bespoke solutions for enterprise clients along with the support of these solutions. You will also be a role model for junior team members, providing guidance when required.
As a key member of their team, you will be required to have the enthusiasm and vision to drive their business forward and ensure that they remain on the cutting edge of technology.
Key skills/Experience:
You will be providing support for enterprise clients across a variety of platforms, strong troubleshooting abilities will allow you to confidently approach a wide range of issues.
You will also be working with the latest hyper-converged technologies so a good understanding of networking, virtualization and knowledge of storage principles would also be advantageous.
- A minimum of 3 years working in a technical support role
- A strong understanding of Linux (Particularly RHEL/CentOS) and/or Windows Server 2012/2016 environments.
- A strong understanding of web hosting concepts such as DNS.
- A good understanding of Switching and Routing
- A good understanding of firewalls
- Experience with administering VMware and/or Hyper-V clusters
- An understanding of storage concepts.
- Practical experience and understanding of computer/server hardware
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities
Any experience with the following technologies would be desirable but are not essential:
- Fortinet/Cisco firewalls
- MS Exchange, Active Directory, IIS
- cPanel, Plesk, Apache
- Managing Aruba, HP, or Cisco switches via CLI
- VMware, Hyper-V
- Hyper-converged storage
- Veeam, Mimecast, Backup Exec
- Office 365
