One of the fastest growing house builders in the UK is looking for a technical co-ordinator who can demonstrate previous experience working on residential schemes in the UK either as part of a consultancy or for a developer/house builder.

Working within the residential development team, you will be involved in dealing with all aspects of planning and technical matters on a variety of schemes. You will liaise between external planning consultants, architects, engineers, utility companies and various local authority departments to ensure developments can be commenced on time.

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will be:
- Ideally from a planning or architectural background
- Preferably a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute or Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (Either planning & development or Building Surveyor);
with at least 5 years’ experience post professional qualification;
- Inquisitorial and a problem solver;
- Highly analytical and numerate;
- A good verbal communicator with excellent interpersonal skills;
- Good at report writing and presentation
- Ambitious and enthusiastic.
- Practical experience of development plan processes
- Good understanding of the planning process

Duties
- Managing the process from Outline planning through to detailed planning approval
- Satisfying all planning conditions and outstanding planning matters
- Commissioning surveys and reports as required to satisfy planning requirements
- Agreeing materials and finishes with Local Authorities
- Liaising with architects, engineers and consultants throughout the planning and development process
- Provide the construction team with full working drawings, specifications and ongoing technical advice and support
- Coordinating utility companies to provide gas, electric, water and media services to sites
- Coordinating specialist contractors to carry out bespoke work on site whenever required

Salary circa £40K to £50K depending on experience (plus bonus package)
