One of the UK's leading providers of waterproofing solutions is recruiting for a “Technical Applications & Training Manager”. They supply waterproofing products and materials to the construction industry through their huge list of approved contractors. They offer technical advice in addition to training their installers ourselves in our very own training premises.

This position would suit a flat roofer who is experienced when it comes to installing single ply, liquid applied and BUR and therefore confident to teach others how to do so and offer advice to contractors when it comes to the products and materials they supply. You would need great people and communication skills and the confidence to stand up in front of a group of people and teach the theory behind our training courses. Computer skills including Microsoft word, excel, powerpoint and outlook are required in order to be successful in this role. You will be required to attend local sites as and when required to carry out inspections to work, which you will then need to type up in to a report.

This exciting and varied role involves a mixture of office based and non-office-based responsibilities.

You would report directly to the Managing Director and you would be based at the company premises in Poole, Dorset. The hours of work would be Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm (shorter day on a Friday - 9am to 4pm). You would receive 25 days holiday per year plus all bank holidays. Free onsite parking.

Duties & Responsibilities include:
- To work with the Technical Support Manager and Technical Administrator to offer technical advice to Specifiers, Contractors and in-house staff as required.
- To deliver training courses on behalf of the company and maintain the training areas and keep in good order.
- To assist with the production CAD detail drawings.
- To assist with the production of Specifications.
- To assist with the maintenance and update of all technical manuals, data sheets, drawings etc.
- To assist with the production of relevant calculations; Wind-Uplift. Rainwater Outlet, Condensation Risk Analysis and U Value calculations etc.
- To visit site as required to inspect work and/or help resolve any installation issues.
- To carry out site surveys as required.
- To test and help develop new products and systems.
- To produce product samples as required for testing and/or marketing purposes.
- To attend tests and produce results reports.
- To attend relevant industry meetings and represent this company.
- To remain up-to-date with all technical aspects of the Company's products and services
- To keep up to date with industry regulations and requirements.
- With the Technical Support Manager and Technical Administrator, to develop, organise and maintain the Company Technical Library.
