This company is currently recruiting for a Tech Manager.

Based out of their head office in London and reporting to their Head of Tech you will keep us all plugged in and productive by assisting in the management of the IT infrastructure of each of their companies. Areas of focus include hardware, software, desktop infrastructure, voice and data networks, servers, mobile and fixed telephony.

They don't go for strict long winded job descriptions, they all like to get mucked in, however here's an idea of how they see the role...

- Ensure all technologies are proactively maintained and work reliably 24/7 

- Assist in managing the day to day operations of the IT infrastructure
- Support and monitor existing infrastructure in conjunction with the outsourced IT provider, Silverbug
- Work with the Head of Technology and Silverbug to deliver IT change projects to users across the entire group
- Work with the Tech Coordinator to deliver high quality IT support to stakeholders across all businesses
- Liaise with external suppliers and support agencies for the ongoing support and maintenance of hardware and software.
- Ensure that all work and changes are performed in such a way as to minimise disruption to existing business use. 

- To assist in designing and documenting internal changes
- Ensure that technology is used, managed and supported in accordance with company standards, policies and procedures
- To ensure that back-up and disaster recovery processes are in place and managed accordingly
- Some responsibilities will be conducted during normal office hours with some out of hours’ work (including Bank Holidays) required to resolve urgent support calls or perform planned maintenance

Likely Background...

- You’ll have a proven and demonstrable experience in supporting IT infrastructure including networks, security and hardware
- You’ll come from a hotel or similar environment – they are looking for IT superstars!
- You’ll have a background in infrastructure management or networking, so a CCNA or MSCA / MCSE would be ideal
- You have an IT lab at home – they want to hear about what you are working on!
- If they get stuck in a lift with you – they will get along nicely and have a laugh along the way
