As Team Leader you will assist the Warehouse Manager in ensuring the daily operational requirements / SLA’s are achieved through safe, reliable and repeatable processes, ensure all staff are working safely and with our customers in mind and assist with the development of a continuous improvement culture.
You will have experience of working within a Logistics/Warehouse environment, understand the importance of meeting SLAs and have a good experience of people management. You must be proactive and able to work alone using initiative.
Role Responsibilities:
HSE – To assist the Warehouse Manager and lead a HSE culture in the Warehouse ensuring all members of staff go home safely each and every day. To coach /develop Warehouse Senior Operatives in related practices and to pro-actively spot hazards each day to ensure our working environment is safe. To challenge HSE standards when needed to ensure the Warehouse team know what is expected of them in relation to HSE. To complete investigations in the event of an accident / incident.
Customer Requirements – To ensure that our customers both internal and external receive the service level they expect from the Warehouse. To ensure operational processes perform to their maximum capability each day so as to satisfy all customer demand. To pro-actively liaise directly with the Customer Service teams to ensure all requests are actioned each day. To put the customer first at all times and lead a culture where it is understood that the customer is king.
SLA Performance – To challenge SLA performance to understand / correct any concerns that may affect present / future SLA performance.
Communication – To ensure effective communication with all stakeholders (inc.Transport) at all times through understanding their requirements.
Leading – To efficiently manage a team of Warehouse Senior Operatives directly through strong leadership techniques. To indirectly manage the team of Warehouse staff through engagement and effective delegation. To be conscientious at all times and lead by example, setting the benchmark for all staff in the Warehouse.
Stock Integrity – To assist the Warehouse Manager in ensuring the integrity of all products in the Warehouse. To assist in completing perpetual inventory checks and managing processes to ensure stock losses / denials etc are minimized.
