This company has a new opportunity for a graduate engineer to join the team developing unique and innovative hydraulic machines. The successful candidate will join the modelling and control systems team, focussing on understanding all aspects of the behaviour and performance of Digital Displacement® hydraulic machines and the systems in which they are applied. This leads naturally to involvement in the design and development of the control algorithms and systems for specific applications of the Digital Displacement technology, as well as the testing and tuning of such systems.

Skills and Experience
Qualifications required: Degree in Mechanical / Electronic Engineering or similar.
The development of their technology combines Mechanical, Electronics and Embedded Systems Engineering. This position would be of interest to an engineer of any background that is keen to apply analytical skills to understanding how complex Mechatronic systems behave and are controlled. The insights gained through this analytical understanding can then be applied to practical design and technology development, and verified by experimental testing.

Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Experience of mathematical analysis of mechanical and fluid systems.
- Interest in practical problem-solving.
- Experience with Matlab / Simulink would be useful but not essential.
- Experience in mechatronic system design and practical system control.

Full on the job training will be given in this exciting new technology and a high level of responsibility is to be expected at an early stage. This job will appeal to outstanding graduate engineers who relish the idea of becoming members of an innovative team, understanding the operation of complex mechatronic systems, and using their understanding to improve and progress the technology through to tested hardware in real-world applications.

Attitude, energy and commitment are as important as academic qualifications. Candidates should have a practical approach, as the job will involve hardware prototyping and testing of machines operating in their laboratory.
