An excellent opportunity has arisen for a 5 full time & part time Support Workers to provide care and support at either our Day Services or small residential home.
The work requires assistance with daily living, leisure and community activities as well as to participate in weekly programme. The Support Worker will assist with:
- Transporting them by car on (2:1) support
- Ongoing support with maintaining health & well being
- Day to day programme of activity to include life skills
The successful Support Worker must:
- Possess good communication skills
- Be caring, reliable, self-motivated and cheerful
- Experience in working with challenging behaviours
- Ideally, the candidate will hold a full UK driving license
Candidates will need to demonstrate an understanding of people with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Challenging Behaviours & be committed to a person centred and outcome-focused approach.
This position is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure and two references, one of which must be from your current or most recent employer.
Job Type: Permanent-Full and Part Time positions
Salary: £7.88 hour, may increase dependent on shift pattern and experience.
Hours of Work-Variable times and days including weekends to meet the needs of the business which runs 24/7.
Location Birmingham, West Midlands
NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care is desired.
