This company is the leading European refiner and supplier of high performance speciality hydrocarbons, advanced automotive fluids and speciality chemicals. This is an exciting opportunity for somebody to take responsibility for their logistics and Supply Chain Day to Day activities. This will involve about 70% operational activity plus managing three Supply Chain Coordinators who will report into the post holder.

It involves close liaison with internal customers from different business streams who need to have logistics movements coordinated to their customer needs, managing 3rd Party sites, and also dealing with potential improvement requests.

The Supply Chain Team Leader will also work closely with the Customer Service Manager as well as the Procurement Business Partner to improve our Processes on both Service and cost on a continuous basis.

Day to day activities include:
- Responsibility for logistics movements from our production sites and external Warehouses for all modes of transport (Road, Rail, Sea, Airfreight) as well as the Coordination of 3rd Party sites
- Managing a team of Supply Chain Coordinators including performance reviews, training and development and assigning work.
- Co-ordination with all plants, alternate storage locations & logistics providers to ensure all orders are delivered on time and complete.
- Managing customer expectations on order delivery, maintaining regular communication with both the haulier and Customer service coordinator responsible in relation to all logistics issues effecting order delivery.
- Contributing to the processing of customer complaint/ service failures, within the area of logistics in accordance with Company procedures and agreed service levels.

The successful candidate will have a good track record of success in a similar role, ideally in a bulk liquid Chemical environment. SAP and IT expertise are essential as is the ability to work to tight deadlines. Excellent customer service skills are also essential along with the ability to solve problems and improve processes.
