After significant investment and exciting new plans for their wood based panel processing facility in Leeds, they are looking for a shop floor supervisor. This role involves being the first point of contact and responsible for the day to day running of the shop floor. Managing circa 15 production personnel whilst working with the Production Managers to effectively execute the daily & weekly production plans.
You will work closely with their Production Managers and other departments, this role will ensure jobs are produced and dispatched within the given timeframes and quality standards along with managing all health safety rules and procedures.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in effectively supervising or managing a team or department in a manufacturing environment, proven history in working with wood machines such as beams saws, edgebanders and CNC machining centres would be of advantage. The candidate should possess good leadership and motivation qualities and strong communication skills.
This is a full time position consisting of 42.5 hours per week, Mon – Fri, 06.00 – 15.00 each day. Plus regular overtime.
Salary negotiable depending upon experience.
