Structural Engineer (Building Structures) required to join a well-established multi-disciplinary Building Surveying, Structural Engineering and Architecture Practice in Potters Bar Hertfordshire. Their successful company has seen continued growth in business over recent years and are continuing to expand and diversify. Salary £25,000.00 - £30,000.00 pa, Plus Benefits. Training provided to progress to professional chartered status.

Duties

- Prepare structural calculations, specifications, reports and general correspondence to up-to-date British Standards, Euro codes and relevant design guidance notes
- Using associated software for analysis and design purposes
- Carry out general structural advice and analysis supporting the multidisciplinary business on diverse buildings and advise on any issues that may arise
- Interpret geotechnical data from soil investigating reports for foundation design
Brief, supervise and take responsibility of project teams.
- Liaise & communicate with external professionals, clients and management.
- Giving progress reports to clients and senior managers
- Site inspections
- Senior position responsibility

Academic & Professional Qualifications

- MICE, MIStructE or similar
- Chartered Member

Experience & Technical Skills

- Significant experience in the design of building structures
- Design in structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber.
- Prepare reports to Management and fellow professionals
