This is an opportunity for a Stores Supervisor to drive the Stores side of this family owned, successful manufacturing business. You’ll be working closely with the Production Manager and Quality & Supply Chain Manager to develop systems and processes, and it will be an opportunity to bring your skills & ideas to improve efficiencies in the organisation & materials handling element of the business. Key activities will include: -
Responsibilities:
- Receiving & booking out of materials & finished customer orders
- Picking & issuing materials for SHY production runs
- Implement a FIFO system (First-In-First-Out) for all materials
- Manage the stock levels to ensure the production flow is maintained
- Accurately record & report all discrepancies
- Implement & drive stock counts
- General assembly and packing
- Possibility of collection and delivery of goods to suppliers and customers using company vehicle
Attributes:
- Good communication skills
- Must be a team player & engage with all staff, including the Managing Director
- PC Literate (Microsoft office + Company MRP system – Training will be provided)
- Must be numerate & have a good attention to detail
- Customer focussed
- Willing to become involved in all areas of the organisation to drive continuous improvement
- Full and clean driving licence
Training will be provided to ensure the applicant is fully conversant with the bespoke manufacturing & materials control system. The normal working hours are 40 per week and 28 days’ holiday including bank holidays will be provided. Additionally there is a performance bonus scheme.
