A growing eco product and homeware distributor requires an experienced part-time Storeperson to carry out day-to-day duties in its warehouse.
The successful candidate will work alone but with the support of Head Office, with sole responsibility for tasks including picking and packing both trade and consumer orders, manually loading and unloading deliveries, moving stock around the warehouse, working on goods-in, checking deliveries and inputting stock into the computer system.
The successful candidate will:
- Carefully pick and pack orders for trade and retail customers
- Check new goods into stock
- Carry out regular stock checks across the entire product range
- Take charge of all elements of warehouse organisation
- Deal with orders sent electronically from head office
- Update Head Office via email and telephone as necessary
- Be responsible for good packing of items leaving the warehouse
The ideal candidate should:
- Have experience of working in stores/warehousing
- Have an eye for detail and take pride in completing tasks well
- Have basic computer skills (sending email, accessing orders, navigating courier systems)
- Be willing to take ownership of warehouse operations
- Be able to work quickly but with care in every aspect of the role
This is a part-time position, available immediately. You will be working in a sole role within the warehouse but as part of a friendly and ambitious wider team in a growing business.
Standard working hours will be 10am - 2pm but these may flex across a week to reflect busy/quite order periods. The successful candidate will be required to work with management to adjust working hours when necessary to meet the needs of the business.
