Purpose
To produce high quality woollen spun yarns to the standards of count and evenness required by the customer, ensuring sufficient twist to enable satisfactory performance.

Responsibilities
1. Ensure that input materials conform to the order requirements as instructed by the manager.
2. Ensure that output materials conform to the highest quality standards in order to maintain customer satisfaction.
3. Diagnose the reasons for and remedy faulty material.
4. Carry out machine operation functions as per job breakdown.
5. Report machine faults and any processing difficulties which cannot be readily rectified, to the supervisor in a timely manner so as not to hinder production.
6. Promote continuous improvement initiatives in order to make production as efficient as possible.

Education / Skills / Knowledge / Experience
- Experience of working in textile manufacturing, particularly a multi-skilled woolen spinning factory
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
- Knowledge of the yarn spinning process
- Previous experience, or the ability, to operate machinery and follow set procedures and instructions
- Knowledge and understanding of quality, shade, blend and other lot identification systems would be an advantage
- Experience of fault finding and problem solving
