This global health technology business delivers safer, more effective and cost-efficient, diagnostic-led care. This role is based in the development unit in Camborne, Cornwall.

The Solutions Architect will oversee and educate code architecture and develop software to meet functional requirements and agreed standards and specifications within the agile framework used by LumiraDx.

Requirements

- Experience in architecture design and solution modelling
- Experience of prototyping to evaluate and technically risk assess software solutions
- API and Integration experience from design and modelling through to implementation
- Experience in producing and maintaining all architectural documentation from high level design to low level user stories
- Experience with programming and scripting languages for web applications and automation (C#, JSON)
- Applications and Tools; Visual Studio & Windows
- Solid experience in working with the following libraries and frameworks; API, MVC, .NET Framework, entity Framework, jQuery
- Agile
- A natural leader with the ability to influence decision making through effective communication and collaboration

Responsibilities

1. To understand the business needs identified by product owners, customers, patients and users and convert them into architecture specifications.

2. To liaise with clients and business partners to understand the technical environment(s) and landscape.

3. To maintain awareness of emerging technologies, industry trends, and architecture best practices; evaluating them for applicability in LumiraDx Care Solutions and the wider Lumira group to enable valuable contribution to the overall strategy and architecture roadmap.

4. To work with the Software Development Manager to contribute to and develop long-term development plans and offer technical advice, solution options and innovations to the stakeholders on the business’ technical architecture and software solutions.

5. To facilitate and contribute to the architectural reviews with the Software Development Manager; ensuring that the solution architecture is in line with the overall architecture vision and technical roadmap.

6. To prototype, evaluate and technically risk assess software solutions for the business software requirements.

7. To liaise with the Software Development Manager to educate and oversee the development and implementation of software solutions to ensure that they are aligned to the architectural vision, design, best practices and principles.

8. To use standard solution building blocks and produce high quality architecture artefacts; at the right time and at the right level; to be consumed by development teams.

9. To be responsible for ensuring that all architectural documentation from high level design to low level user stories is produced, maintained and kept up to date.

10. To work closely with development teams to identify operational impact to architecture, and keep those impacts in mind while designing solutions.
