They have an immediate requirement for a full time Software Front-End Developer. The role will be based in either Nottingham, UK, or in their new European office.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Create user-interface (UI) designs for new required functionality.
- Software implementation of new UI functionality.
- Participate in the team’s software design discussions.
- Improving software quality by diagnosing and fixing defects.
- Develop and test software to agreed timescales and standards.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the company’s development processes.
- Create relevant documentation following the company’s processes.
- Provide training and guidance to other developers and customers as required.
- Interface closely with key customers to understand and solve issues and to customize the core products to their individual requirements.
Qualifications and Skills
The successful developer will possess a number of the following skills and experience:
- Working experience in front-end development
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related
- Experience with object oriented programming including C#
- Experience with the .NET framework
- A solid understanding of GUI development and principles
- Experience in developing applications that involve geolocation
- Experience in Feature Driven Development and solid background in UI design
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server or PostgreSQL databases
- Hands-on mentality and a strong customer requirements focus
- Knowledge integrating with SOAP, RESTful APIs and JSON data processing
- Knowledge of Bootstrap, Datatables, and Highcharts
- Knowledge and experience of software engineering practice and developing code to industry standards
- Experience in developing technical documentation, procedures and guidelines
