This company is looking to recruit an experienced PHP Software Development Engineer to develop PHP applications for their award-winning cloud-based SaaS CRM service. Based in Reading, this rapidly growing organisation delivers CRM and business applications to growing and mid-market organisations.

As part of the highly competent & growing engineering team, you will be responsible for automating business processes and solving complex customer requirements that require bespoke functionality. The successful candidate is likely to have 4-10 years in a similar role, and the package offered will reflect the level of experience.

Responsibilities:

- Analysis, specification, design, development and testing of PHP applications for customers to interact with the platform and other third-party applications.

- Working with the Service Delivery Team and customers to clearly define the requirements for customer application development.

- To build good working relationships with customers and other members of the internal team.

- To be professional and conduct yourself with integrity at all times.

Experience and Skills:

Candidates should be able to demonstrate directly relevant experience including:

Essential Skills

- Expert/competent knowledge of PHP

- Proven ability to develop Web Applications using modern HTML/CSS, JQuery/AJAX, PHP

- Full Software Lifecycle Experience. (Specification, Implementation &Testing)

- Passionate about software engineering

- Attention to detail and a high standard of work.

- Excellent time management skills

- Use of source code control systems, such as Github or Subversion.

- A willingness to learn new skills and ‘go the extra mile’.

- Good interpersonal skills and a being a team player.

- Ability to work with stakeholders from different departments.

- Problem solving, task prioritisation, communication, administration and organisation skills.

Desirable Skills

- Experience with Linux, Apache & MySQL

Package - £40k-£60k base depending on experience + bonus + company benefits
