As a Software Development Project Manager, you must have an advanced knowledge of software programming and development, and be able to lead and manage cross-functional project teams for a SAAS Product. Project management skills are essential to the role, as is significant industry experience.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
- Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Ensure resource availability and allocation
- Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
- Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
- Report and escalate to management as needed
- Manage the relationship with the development teams and make sure objectives are achieved and coding quality is maintained.
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks
- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
- Assess the marketplace and direct on next stage projects to advance the platform and its offerings.
- Implement your findings of system requirements alongside Directors and Sales requirements and organise this into a project implementation plan.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in a technology SAAS project lead environment
- A Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer or software engineering, business administration, management, project management, or a related field
- Experience in the email marketing industry
- Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- PMP / PRINCE II certification a plus
