This company is one of the UK's leading manufacturers of touch screen kiosks providing kiosk hardware and bespoke software solutions for both public and private sector companies. They currently have a great opportunity for a software developer who has a strong passion for developing new interactive applications to join a talented and innovative team. This company has as a vibrant office and manufacturing environment including specialist teams in development and production. There is an on-site carpark. They work with large and small customers from the public and private sectors of medical, transport, local government and many more.

They are looking for a technical minded, enthusiastic, bright and self-motivated individual. Training will be provided and there is an opportunity for career progression. The salary is negotiable based on skillset and experience.

Job Description -
To work as part of a small specialist team developing a variety of interesting and interactive software applications for touch screen kiosks and back end systems to manage them. You will also be playing an active role in providing support, software testing, configuring kiosks and bug fixing.

Essentials:
- At least 2 years experience in C# .net applications
- Organised way of coding using standard methodologies and practices (Object Oriented Programming, Test driven development style)
- Superb analytical skills and attention to detail
- SQL

Beneficial:
- Experience of using Xaml/Blend
- Working knowledge of backend / web applications development in ASP.Net
- Good understanding of web services (SOAP, REST)
- Knowledge of working with hardware devices (barcode scanners, interface boards etc) and 3rd party API's

Overall, you will be developing & maintaining touch screen kiosk applications and work on a wide range of existing and new projects for different clients. This is a fantastic opportunity to quickly gain commercial experience on touch screen projects/technology and also work within a talented R&D team in a fast paced environment.
