This company are world leaders in the development of powerful software solutions used by museums, archives and libraries on every continent. Their systems are used by many of the largest and most respected cultural institutions in the world.

They offer an excellent working environment in a company that is unique in its mix of culture and technology. Within the UK they have 60 employees who are based out of either the Manchester or Nottingham office.

The role:
They are looking for an experienced software developer who will join a small a team developing key software products in the Public Libraries sector. They will be responsible for developing and supporting projects while ensuring commitment and quality through to completion. This position involves, designing, implementing, maintaining and troubleshooting products based on customer and internal stakeholder requirements.

The role will involve:
- Writing quality and maintainable code across the entire technology stack
- Designing and implementing database design while considering maintainability
- Turning business ideas/requirements into tangible systems
- Creating and executing unit tests and performing basic systems testing
- Participating in peer code reviews and technical meetings
- Working in a team, collaborating closely with fellow developers and stakeholders
- Troubleshooting and supporting system and application problems
- Communicating complex technical concepts to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
-Providing clear feedback on work tasks to product management and testers

To qualify for the role, you must:
- Be experienced with Agile development processes, methodologies, and tools
- Have an excellent understanding of Object Oriented software design
- Have strong experience of the following:
o .NET Framework 4 and higher
o SQL Server
o JavaScript
o AngularJS
o CSS
o HTML 5
o Source control
o RESTful and SOAP web services
o C#
- Be a pragmatic individual with a motivation to improve and develop yourself
- Be comfortable working independently and in a team environment
- Have a robust and organised approach to work
- Have a willingness to be flexible to meet company and customer expectations
- Have strong verbal and written communications skills
