Software Developer
In this position, you will work with new and emerging technologies to develop and support software applications for the company. You will be creative, objective and forward thinking in your approach to developing new solutions.
Your tasks
- Work closely with IT Project Manager to develop detailed specification documents with clear project deliverables and timelines, and to ensure timely completion of deliverables
- Develop and maintain software solutions to specification
- Create and maintain documentation for software applications
- Create and maintain user guides for software applications
- Testing and fault finding in software applications
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal customers
- 1st /2nd line software support for internal and some customers
- Weekly project progress reporting to IT Project Manager
- Support IT Project Manager with management of 3rd party developers/suppliers
Your profile
- 2 years minimum experience with programming in C# (ASP.NET, WPF)
- 2 years minimum experience with relational database systems, preferable SQL
- Experience in software support
- Ability to organise and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to validate and transpose user requirements into technical specifications
- Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal
- Creativity and out-of-the-box thinking when designing new features for applications
- High level of attention to detail
- Good telephone manner (particularly when supporting external clients)
