Software Developer

A Software Devloper is required to join a dynamic organisation with continuous change in a very competitive market both globally and in the UK. This company, a circa £100m Turnover Company requires a Developer & Software Support Engineer to develop & support software applications.

This is a new position which has been created due to the growing need for both internal and external applications to support the UK business. This company is located across 4 locations in the UK.

Your Tasks

- You will work closely with the IT Project Manager to develop detailed specification documents with clear project deliverables and timelines, and to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Be able to develop & Maintain software solutions to specification
- Create & Maintain documentation for software applications
- Create & Maintain user guides for software applications
- Your role will involve testing and fault finding in software applications
- You will build & Maintain strong relationships with internal customers
- 1st / 2nd line software support for both internal customers
- You will have weekly project progress reporting to the IT Project Manager
- You must support the IT Project Manager with management of 3rd party developers/ suppliers

Your Profile

- You will be a highly motivated individual with at least 2 years’ experience I programming with C# -ASP.NET and software support.
- You are someone who is able to work efficiently and independently with strong communication skills.
- Be someone who is creative but objective as well as forward thinking when it comes to developing new solutions.
- You should be knowledgeable in C# 6.0 and MS SQL server.
-It is also desirable have knowledge in the following software programmes: ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS (Bootstrap), Telerik Kendo UI, MS Team Foundation Server
- You should have some experience in software support
- Have the ability to organise and manage multiple priorities and have the ability to validate and transpose user requirements into technical specifications
- You must have a high level of attention to detail
