This company has a fantastic opportunity for an NPI (New Product Introduction) Software Architect with experience in Enterprise Java and/or Ruby on Rails.

The NPI Architect will be designing products as well as new security tools and technologies to enhance the value they can offer to their customers. You'll be a contributing individual and an active member of the scrum team with the crucial responsibility of helping the team understand and adhere to architectural guidelines.

You’ll play a key role within each phase of the software development life-cycle and contribute at every stage of the product development cycle, working cross-functionally across the organisation. Key Aspects Of The Role

As the NPI Architect you will be responsible for:

- Being the Technical Lead for members of the Scrum teams
- Converting business and technical requirements into an architectural design that becomes the blueprint for the solution being created
- Steering technical solutions for assigned NPIs through the entire life-cycle of the project
- Acting as a subject matter expert and retaining knowledge of functional and non-functional requirements of the product
- Anticipate future requirements and technology changes
- Being the link between Product and Development to ensure all technical considerations are addressed
- Providing constant knowledge updates for the team members to assure full understanding of architectural and technical aspects
- Being a key contributor & independent reviewer at gate & design reviews
- Constantly refine and stay current with emerging themes in software development and testing

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

- Strong experience in either Java J2EE or Ruby on Rails
- Previous experience in a similar role, creating high-level architectural specifications
- Strong understanding of Cloud computing technologies
- Assisting developers with technical problems, development and debugging skills
- Deep understanding of software development processes including source control, build processes, continuous integration, automated testing and software patterns
