This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the fastest growing, successful retailers of downloadable games to come out of the UK in the last few years. The team works with games developers and publishers to bring epic savings on Steam games and bundles across all the major genres. They are always looking for new talent to join their team and this role is no exception!

They need someone who has a passion not only for social media and community management, but also games and spends the majority of their existence online! The ideal candidate has boundless enthusiasm is naturally inspirational and has an infectious drive for achievement. This, along with the creative ability to put together innovative and exciting social media campaigns, balance and co-ordinate these campaigns across multiple social media channels and forums, i.e., Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Twitch, Reddit etc., will be key to their social media strategy and success. The role will entail: -

- Growing a thriving online community of gamers using creative skills to actively engage and retain existing customers, and assist the Marketing team with acquiring new customers.
- Champion their brand and the games that we sell, encouraging positive community interaction.
- Assist in driving traffic-to-revenue generation strategies for all social media channels.

Main Responsibilities:
- Work with the Head of Store to plan and execute a schedule covering the existing channels to deliver creative messaging and community contests.
- Work with team members to execute on-brand messaging across social media, blogs and forums.
- Drive and direct community conversation on their own social media channels, fostering a fanatical community-focused team culture while carefully gauging customer mood.
- Monitor customer reactions on social media, forums and blogs, and act as a brand ambassador.
- Work with the Head of Store and Head of Marketing to plan and action initiatives to increase social media followers and engagement rates.
- Produce and present reports to demonstrate improvements in engagement and membership across key channels as a result of your initiatives.
- Present customer insight, trends and analysis to the store and marketing teams in order to support customer acquisition campaigns through email marketing and social media strategies.
- Identify and adapt to new social media channels and technologies, staying ahead of the competition.
- Take on any other tasks which are deemed as necessary by the Head of Store.

Skills & Experience:
- Marketing or media related degree, or equivalent experience in a commercial environment.
- Experience in building a social media follower base.
- Understanding of social media tools and techniques.
- Analytical and technical skills with a high level of creativity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language - additional language skills are a plus.
- Solid problem solving ability with an insightful approach to new challenges and emerging markets.
