This company is one of the largest independent PV installers in the UK, providing renewable solar energy systems through professional turnkey solar panel installation and maintenance services. Having operated as solar panel installers since 2010, this company has grown with the industry - now offering services covering maintenance, optimisation, consultation and energy storage.
You will be helping them to build a team of technicians involved with the maintenance and monitoring of existing solar assets. This includes fault resolution, repairs, green care, and module cleaning using their robot. You will be spending most of the time working outdoors so the position is suited to someone keen to gain site experience. There will be opportunities to assist with new build work. Their aim is to progress you quickly towards leading a small team.
No prior experience is necessary. You will be shadowing a qualified technician initially to acquire the expertise needed to become fully autonomous. However, they do require some basic skills:
- Excellent organisation and time management
- Must be able to produce word-processed records of works completed in Microsoft Excel/Word
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- A full driving license
- Please be aware that this job requires working at height and training will be provided where necessary
A salary of £19,000-£21,000 is on offer plus a discretionary bonus dependent on your performance.
This company is based in Crewkerne in Somerset but travel around the country and nights away will be involved.
