This chartered construction company based in Westminster specialises in the creation of high-end bespoke homes and developments in premier postcodes such as Belgravia, Knightsbridge and Mayfair.

They currently have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Site Manager for high specification projects in central London. Their Site Managers work closely with the Project Manager to plan and manage projects effectively.

**Please note that although this is a perm position, they will also consider freelance to perm or Site Manager's on a day rate.**

Duties:

- Ensuring that the project requirements, specifications, design drawings, health and safety proposals are all read, understood and agreed and that a project programme is in place.
- Communicate effectively at all times with the client, client’s representative, project architect, local authorities, residents (if applicable) and all persons affected by the project.
- Ensure safety to public, site visitors and staff on site at all times, ensuring that preventative measures are taken.
- Produce a labour schedule in conjunction with the PM.
- Set up an emergency plan and general site facilities for the project.
- Form and manage stock planning so that materials, plant and tools are organised to meet the timescales for the project.
- Supervise and manage all site based operatives, overseeing all aspects of their work.
- Check that all materials used, including those used by sub contractors, are compliant with technical and quality specifications.
- Form and maintain a secure site, including access and egress.
- Maintain and track deliveries using the purchase order system.
- Ensure that stock and materials are deployed properly.
- Ensure subcontractors are providing sufficient resources.
- Off load/check all deliveries, and manage stock issue, adhering at all times to operational needs and with due regard for health, safety and security.
- Oversee all testing and periodic sign offs.
- Supervise and check quality at all times, maintaining a snagging list and ensure all snags are closed out in a timely manner.

Essential Requirements:

- SMSTS & First Aid
- Excellent communication skills.
