Duties & Responsibilities:-
- Responsible for all aspects of inbound and outbound shipping
- Arrange inbound and outbound shipments, updating X3 with all relevant shipping information
- Negotiate freight rates, provide quotations and ensure all freight invoices are correct
- Liaise with internal and external customers and third parties regarding shipments and queries
- Preparation of all shipping documents, including but not limited to raising POs and commercial invoices
- Resolving queries for sales orders held in customs, whilst liaising with sales representatives and customers
- Keep up to date with external environment, pre-empt and prepare for issues relating to shipping to specific destinations
- Liaise with the Finance team for the preparation of invoices ensuring shipping costs are calculated accurately and passed on to the customer
- Timely filing of all shipping related documentation
The ideal candidate will have:-
- Experience in a shipping/logistics role
- Experience of International Shipping, it is highly desirable if the candidates experience includes the Middle East
- Knowledge of Shipping/Logistics policies, procedures and regulations including but not limited to Customs and Trade Compliance
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present information in a clear and concise manner
- Problem solving Skills
