This company has a reputation as ‘flow measurement experts’ for major organisations including National Grid, Centrica, Phoenix Gas, Thames Water, Boots Manufacturing, Greencore and BMW.

This company provide a wide range of flow metering, instrumentation and engineering solutions and services to the water, process, utility and energy sector. In addition, they also manufacture their own flow meter products. Complementing their own products, they have contracted with several of the world’s leading meter providers including Sensus, Itron and ABB.

Job role

Overall this role will:
- Carry out on-site flow meter services including repair, refurbishment, testing, verification and calibration. Internally and on-site.
- Review, bench test, repair, refurb and test all returned meters and customer projects.
- Offer problem/fault finding service to customers.
- Build effective customer relationships by providing flow measurement expertise, technical competence and sales awareness.
- Develop existing experience and knowledge along with supporting growth of our ever expanding growth in new and existing products and services with the opportunity of career development.

Candidate Requirements

Experience:

They appreciate that the role requirements may seem very specific but they are a dynamic team with many years of experience and given this, for the right candidate full training will provided. Previously working in a service environment either internally or externally (ideally both) would be of an advantage.

- Ideally within a service environment.
- Engineering applications within engineering, process and/or manufacturing industries.
- Flow measurement/instrumentation/heat metering experience. Not essential but preferred.
- On-site and internal service work.
- Carrying out site surveys/fault finding.
- Repairs and maintenance.

Skills:
- I.T. Literate with experience of word processing, spreadsheet and databases.
- Data analysis and report writing.
- Effective call handling.
- Excellent organisational abilities.
- Problem solving – feedback to customers.
- Attention to detail and meticulous with projects and reports.
