A highly successful world leader in life sciences instrumentation are looking for an in house workshop engineer to support our customer base throughout the UK/ Ireland.
You will be based at our UK head office Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, working alongside the service manager, interacting with other departments including customer service and sales, and supporting colleagues in the field.
The role includes:
- Completion of workshop repairs, upgrades and QC checks
- Software/firmware upgrades
- Arranging calibration of service equipment
- Stock control of service parts
- P.A.T testing
- Warehouse organisation including the receipt and dispatch of goods
- Support of the IT requirements of the business including PC, network and ancillary support
- Flexibility to support Field Service Engineers throughout the UK if required
- Applicants must hold a recognised electronics qualification or have equivalent relevant Experience.
- Knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Windows Operating systems and MS Office is essential.
The ideal candidate will be organised, structured and flexible. They will also be self motivated with the desire to offer excellent customer service.
Full support will be given with initial product training both in the UK and at our manufacturing base in Germany plus regular quarterly meetings/training updates at our head office in the UK with other colleagues.
