As an international developer of advanced 3D scanning systems and associated solutions, and with established operations in the UK (Oxfordshire) and the USA (California and North Carolina), this is definitely an exciting time to join this award-winning innovative team.

As a Senior C++ Engineer you will be responsible for developing new features in their Software Development Kit (SDK), collaborating with their Research Team to design, implement and test enhancements to our 3D image processing pipeline and API.

Working closely with the Chief Engineer and managing the day-to-day development priorities including running code reviews, you will also have the opportunity to mentor junior talent within the engineering team.

Your main responsibilities will include:

- Designing and developing enhancements to our SDK
- Implementation of Computer Vision algorithms
- Unit and regression test construction, logging, error handling and instrumentation
- Code reviews, coding standards and updating/maintaining multi-platform software (CMake-based) builds
- Contributing to release planning to ensure quality and adherence of deadlines
- Implementing customer requirements and assisting with deployment of SDK releases
- Using Confluence to produce comprehensive meeting notes and documentation
- Participating in the Agile process, generating and maintaining JIRA tickets to optimise planning and tracking of SDK releases.

To be considered for this key role, you will need a BSc or MS in Computer Science, Engineering or associated field. With well-honed skills in C++ development, you will also need experience of the full SLDC. Other key requirements include:

- Experience of Agile development
- An ability to provide technical support to customers and take appropriate action
- A deep understanding of Microsoft Visual Studio and C++ 11
- Excellent English written and spoken communication skills as well as the ability to document processes and procedures in a clear and concise way
- Eligibility to live and work in the UK indefinitely.
