This company was founded in 2011 with a vision to disrupt the traditional quantity surveying and commercial management marketplace. They are unique in that they combine traditional quantity surveying skills with their front-line practical experience commercially managing complex projects for contractors and developers.
Due to extensive growth within the Global Technology Division, they are looking to recruit further Quantity Surveyors at all levels to work on projects across the UK and Europe.
Responsibilities:
- Liaison with the pre-contract team to ensure estimators and designers adhere to best practices
- Taking part in pro-active design discussions
- Preparation of tender documents - providing input into specifications/scopes of work
- Assessment of contractor tender submissions
- Assessment of loss and expense associated with delay and disruption
- Agreement of contractor final accounts and contract advice
- Cash flow and expenditure forecasting
- Agreement of the value of variations
- Prepare management reports detailing the financial, design and delivery status of projects
Skills & Experience:
- Relevant degree qualified with at least 5 years of post graduate experience
- Experience delivering complex engineering and/or construction projects
- Detailed working knowledge and experience of at least one of the major standard forms of contract
- Eye for detail, be commercially astute, technically competent and have the ability to find opportunities and angles that others miss
- Self-motivated with an ability to organise and manage your own workload
- Highly developed verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- MRICS would be advantageous
