This is an opportunity to join a leading liquified petroleum gas (“LPG”) sales, marketing and distribution business, with a developing business in natural gas and electricity. Part of a FTSE 100 business, their LPG division currently operates in seven European Countries, USA, Hong Kong and Macau. In the year to March 2018 they sold in-excess of 1.9m tonnes of product through their distribution network, to over 400k customers.

Qlikview is the BI Tool of choice within their organisation. They are looking to build a competency team at the divisional level to bring a consistency of approach, development of expertise, design innovation, sharing of applications and the ability to develop common KPIs. You will be expected to actively engage, to varying degrees, in multiple Qlik related projects across many companies. Your ability to self-manage is important, and project planning skills will be necessary to enable commitments on delivery across multiple stake holders through their central Qlik as a Service platform.

Significant experience developing and architecting Qlikview solutions in a large enterprise environment preferably in v11 or v12. Expert knowledge of Qlikview scripting, data transformation and application development following Qlik best practices. Familiarity with Qlikview functions, set analysis, principles, processes, techniques and other data analysis tools. Excellent interpersonal skills, to liaise with all levels of users to identify requirements. Ability to write SQL queries and stored procedures. In-depth knowledge of either the sales, marketing, finance or logistics functional areas.

As well as the advertised salary, paid monthly, they operate to contributory pension scheme and 20 days annual leave. You will be provided with company laptop computer and mobile phone. Due to the nature of the role, working with different businesses across differing time zones, there will be a level of flexibility in the working hours.

The role is based within the IT centre of their UK subsidiary. Spending time in the different businesses is an essential part of the role, when working on project scoping and design, and in getting to know senior functional managers and understanding their businesses. Development work will be done in the UK. You will have a comfortable personal style that will allow you to be welcomed into many non-technical functional areas, whilst maintaining and gaining respect for your technical abilities.
