This construction company specialises in super-prime, London residential refurbishment.
Founded in 2005, they now have a portfolio of well over 200 properties in premier locations such as Belgravia, Knightsbridge and Mayfair – projects defined by meticulous detail, exemplary craftsmanship and an impeccable finish.
They currently have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to work across high -end residential projects in central London. The Mechanical Design Engineer will work closely with the Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors and M&E team to design, price and oversee the install of the mechanical & electrical services on our projects.
Duties:
- Producing a full performance specification for D&B projects.
- Produce mechanical design drawings (proposed and as-built).
- Undertake site surveys
- Attend design team meetings to identify change and provide technical knowledge.
- Support Quantity Surveyors with M&E quotations.
- Value Engineering.
- Review and amend drawings to ensure full co-ordination.
- Manage client/consultant relationship.
- Technical submittals, drawing approvals, RFIs and regulatory approvals.
- Ensure operatives on site have all information required to carry out the works.
- Assist PM in managing programme implications involving M&E change.
- Managing sign off with building control.
- Carry out site visits to check correct design and any snagging issues
- Will ultimately be responsible for RFI sheets including any updates
Essential Requirements:
- Mechanical Design experience
- Experienced in producing drawings using AutoCAD / Revit
- Excellent communication skills
- Educational qualifications to a degree level or equivalent (desirable)
