Job Description
They are looking for a highly motivated lead developer to join their management team to help us build a development function to deliver multiple programmes in the banking and gambling industries.

You should have a very strong technical background, an excellent record of developing and delivering software solutions in client-focused environments and experience of mentoring junior members of the development team. An in-depth understanding of telemetry and automation would be very advantageous.

Responsibilities:
- Build a development function and help with the recruitment of a team to deliver multiple programmes.
- Put in place the development systems, environments and practices to support Agile software development
- Provide hands-on software development, working closely with their client teams using Agile development processes
- Provide technical expertise and architectural design support for a variety of CRM, Gaming and Telemetry programmes
- Development planning and estimating
- Carrying out peer reviews
- Act as a champion for best practices and continuous learning
- Act as a mentor for junior members of the development team
- Working closely with the management team to shape their technical training and development.

Technical skills and experience
- Demonstrable experience in leading and technically driving solutions is a must.
- Back end development (e.g. Java 8, Node.JS, JMS and ActiveMQ)
- Front end development experience desirable (e.g. Javascript, HTML 5, CSS 3, PHP)
- Integration technology
- Telemetry systems design, architecture and operation
- Time Series Databases
- Testing tools and methodologies
- Database design and programming, particularly using open source data technologies
- Sound understanding of software development life cycle models and familiarisation of software version control tools (specifically GIT).
- Fluency in additional programming languages an advantage
- Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills are extremely important to this role, including the ability to communicate and engage with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels.
