The Position

Applications are invited for a Senior Laboratory Technician at their Doncaster Site. This is a full time permanent position working 40 hours per week.

As Senior Laboratory Technician your duties and responsibilities will vary based on the Company’s requirements but will include:

- Routine testing of samples as required.
- Maintenance of records in accordance with ISO: 17025 including equipment, procedures etc.
- Interpretation of results and notification of out of specification parameters.
- Staff Training
- Maintaining GLP to ensure that hygiene and housekeeping standards are met.
- Planning the daily workload of the Laboratory with reference to the Laboratory Manager as necessary.
- Providing support to Technical Team
- Evaluating new methods and techniques that may be appropriate to the Business
- Establishing experimental protocols and evaluate/validate methods and systems
- Maintaining accreditation for current methods and assisting with accreditation of new methods

The Person

- You must be educated A-Level or equivalent.
- Have a recognised qualification in Chemistry.
- Awareness of relevant Health and Safety requirements.
- Experience within a scientific technical support role.
- Ability to learn new and relevant skills.
- Well organised and efficient.
- Good IT skills, including LIMS, Microsoft packages.
- Be self-motivated and driven.
- Be able to work on your own or as part of a team
- Be able to communicate well at all levels
